If you haven't tried this technique before, there are a few approaches (include a pretty clever FAUX piping that's created by piecing the binding from skinny strips from each color) ... and a small baby quilt or wall-hanging has a whole lot less binding (and piping) to sew.sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13408822963659450038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700855420663637759.post-46989170232987010012011-08-30T15:23:57.670-05:002011-08-30T15:23:57.670-05:00I think for a crib quilt I might just simply bind ...I think for a crib quilt I might just simply bind it in black, though I do like some of the other ideas suggested! It looks really nice - I love how this block (and so many others from the lotto) inspire us for other projects...Kate Northhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04995181032124912822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700855420663637759.post-12380353748771228332011-08-30T14:24:22.396-05:002011-08-30T14:24:22.396-05:00I'd just go with the black binding. Depending on if you feel like going a bit larger, you could always put a small frame of yellow or pinkish hue around to separate the blacks and give some extra definition. JMHO, I love playing with color. Pansies were my Grandma's favorite flower, and I have wanted to make a pansy quilt for many, many years, in her memory. You have just added another project to my list ( and it will not be added to the bottom of the list).
