Reeds on the way to Winners!
I went to post office and mailed the reeds - so they are on the way from San Diego!

Wendy P's June baskets
I thoroughly enjoyed making these!
And I have to admit, I was SCARED of that handle! But now I'm rather fascinated by it.... and wondering what else I could do with that technique.
Thanks for always encouraging me to learn something new!

Maybe this will work?
I went surfing through the blogger help forums looking for something about the problems with inserting images. If you get the pop-up that shows already uploaded Picasso images and doesn't seem to have a way to upload from your computer, look for this button.
I never noticed it and now I keep seeing the familiar pop-up with the option to upload from the computer, so I can't confirm that it will work.
As someone who has made a living designing user interfaces and testing usability, it doesn't seem at all intuitive to me. But as with many non-intuitive things in life, I suppose we can all learn it and move on from there.

Another Basket from Rho
Here's a second basket from Rho ... that she had problems posting, as did I. I uploaded it to Flickr first to make this work.
I think it's a great example of how you can use the same directions to produce a wonky block or a very symmetrical one . . . that still (almost) follows all the rules for this month.

Edited (by sophie) because this is the oddest yet. This post (which claims to be created by Rho), contains only an anonymous comment by Lois (who was not logged in). Yikes.

Blogger Weirdness
A few nights ago, when I was updating a photo on the post with the sneak peekers' blocks, the options for the Insert Image function were totally changed and did not include the option to upload a photo from my computer. Instead, it pointed to the mostly invisible albums on Picasso which is where all the photos we upload are stored. (Picasso and Blogger are sister companies, both owned by Google.)
Rho emailed me because she had the same problem last night, when she went to post the two new liberated basket blocks she's made.
My best guess is that they are doing something like updating the system (and maybe backing out the changes when they don't work).
So, if you have a problem that looks like this one . . . my advice is that you try again later. As always, if you are having ANY KIND of problems with blogging here, be sure to contact me about it. If I can't help, I can probably let you know that it's NOT YOU and that the system is misbehaving ;-)

look! it's a basket!
I bombed out on the reeds last month for various reasons, but determined to get some blocks done this time. Here's my first basket -- very fun and easy (except for doing the base backwards the first time...)
I expect to get a bunch more of these done before the end of the month.

Basket Blocks (maybe 9)
Here are my blocks for June. After I put together the basket part and the base I then read the handle part of the instructions....I didn't have enough of the base fabric to do the handles. I had Kona red to do all the handles. This would eliminate 4 of my 9.
I would like to donate my chances to someone who has been making blocks for a while and has not won yet.

Blocks on the way!
Congratulations ladies - I am really envious this month, because I coveted those reed blocks. Oh well, maybe another time! Anyway, I have posted out your squishies today, so I hope you will all three receive them within a week or so -this time of year (barring volcanic eruptions) the post is usually pretty fast across the Atlantic!

Mailing to Paradise
Andi, Balinda and Pat
With just a touch of envy, I put three blocks in the mail today for each of you. I look forward to seeing how everything comes together.
I've never mailed anything to Paradise before-- all kinds of new experiences with Block Lotto!

Mary Jane's June Blocks
I got these 8 blocks made but did not have time to photograph and email to you last night. Sorry Sophie. Also, now I groan at the basket and donate my chances. I did have fun making these blocks and hope they are acceptable.
Reed blocks Away
My blocks went in the mail today to Andi. Congrats again!
