Violets in the mail

I mailed the packages to Shannon (GA), Cathy (Australia) and Terry (CA) yesterday. Congratulations ladies!

Violets sent and Sept Curves

Sent my violets out to Marybeth today. Design walls sure look pretty with those blocks!

I also have 9 blocks for Sept. These were fast and easy to put together. I had to raid my fqs for these. I joined lotto to use up the scrap bin and have been successful thus far, just don't have batiks scraps 'yet'. I've been collecting batiks but as of yet have not put them into a quilt....gotta change that this coming year maybe...

African Violet Sept 15th

5 envelopes in the mailbox today from Cynthia, Pokey, Mary Jane, Krista & Jean.  All blocks are lovely. I am sure this will turn out beatifully. My fingers are starting to itch, but there are 3 more to come. All the received blocks are hung on my design wall. And I think I have to go out and buy some living ones for my livingroom window.

At the risk of repeating myself, I want to report that I received gorgeous violets from three quilters today: Celine, Andra and Jennifer. Thanks everyone! I'm getting excited about putting them together.

Nine Curved Rails from Kathy S

Here are my nine blocks for September.  I was hesitant to get in on this month's block because I was afraid of the curves.  Now I'm ready to use them in my crumb along!  Yeah.  Thanks again, Block Lotto, for teaching me a new skill.

Hello again!

I'd taken a break from the lotto for a few months but when I saw this months block I decided I needed to play again. Here are the six I've got so far. Hopefully I'll have time for 3 more before the month is out. Good luck everybody!

Violets have been arriving

Violets have been arriving steadily since last week, but alas I am dealing with a hole in my house where the kitchen used to be (the picture makes it so much cleaner than it really is); I have to keep reminding myself we did this purpose.

A belated thank you to Coralie, Giselle, Julie, June, Laura, Maree, Mary Jane, Michelle, Tina & Wilma.  I love them ALL!

& as for Shannon & Cathy, I know I you owe violets...my apologies!  I have been trapped at my house making sure my dogs don't eat the contractors (& vice versa).  They are all ready to go & I WILL get to the post office...this week-end?
