I'd never seen this block before, but it is a snap to make. Seeing all these men lined up, I wondered where the Oklahoma Boomer Woman block was! I hope you all (the Americans, at least) have a festive Independence Day holiday.

I want to see the quilt under those Boomers . . . although you have given us a great setting idea ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs for a lady for our Boomer, how about some of Freddi Moran's Garden Ladies–google to find some examples of this cute block, if you don't know it.
Your eight boomer blocks bring our total-so-far to 10!
Dear Kathie,Yea, we know you are wanting to concentrate on your new winnings coming your way. Mine went east this am.
ReplyDeleteQuick question on the head of Okla Bo. I am redoing the triangle head as I want 1/4" for seam allowance at the top point, and I nipped the bottom corners with the seam allowance; from your picture it looks like yours came out with sharp points. Any special tips or tweeking of measurements? I have the bkgd cut out for 2 more and ready to sew except for the "heads". Thanks, Kathy in Colo
