I managed to get two little houses done this evening -- the photo is wonky as well as the houses! Hoping to have more of these done by the end of the month, but for some reason I'm not finding turquoise fabric in my stash...
Early this year, I decided we should feature the color turquoise in one of our blocks because it was named "color of the year" for 2010. I have noticed a lot more turquoise in the world, in advertising, home decor and yes, fabric. I guess some of our stashes (including mine!) don't yet reflect the trend. I meant to look for turquoise fabric at the Austin quilt show this weekend and . . . completely forgot. I might have to take my first trip to an Austin quilt shop soon.

ReplyDeletePs. I've added your wonky houses to the list. With Ramie's house and yours, our new total-so-ar this month is 75 house blocks.
ReplyDeleteThese are great blocks. I am envious of your wonkiness!
