I confess that one of the reasons I mailed my blocks (checkerboards to Pokey and Shannon) so late this month was that I was dreading the trip downtown to what looked to be the closest PO to my new apartment.
Then, last week, the receptionist at the office told me about one in an adjacent town that was pretty close (and had lots of parking). Even though I drove by to check the Saturday hours one night earlier in the week, when I pulled up and parked (in an empty parking lot) on Saturday morning, I was sure they were closed. But they weren't ... I was the ONLY customer in the place. That never happens to me. I was in and out quickly ... then went back to take a photo--because who would believe it? (In the meantime, someone else had come in to mail something.)

Checkerboard Blocks Mailed
Julie and Linnea I'm mailing out your blocks today.
Oh my gosh, I can not believe I am so late mailing this out. I'm so sorry!! This is one time that life just got in the way. We have been out of town for quite a bit of the month, and then when I returned I realized I didn't have stamps!!! Ugh!

Better Late Than Never??
Thought I'd better let Pokey, Rho and Julie W know that I finally got their blocks in the mail yesterday. I do apologize for being so very late with this. I've been ill for the last 2 weeks and just couldn't get to the post office. I hope you'll have fun with them when they finally arrive!

blocks on the road
Checkerboard blocks have been mailed to Andra and Julie. Sorry I'm sort of pokey about getting these out. It's been a crazy month with no time. Now, I just need to find some time to make violets. My material is picked out and ready. Yea!

Hi, we have been on the road for our longest trip from home in years, no kidding! I let Sophie know I'd be gone, and only was online to check emails. I was happy to hear I'd won this liberated checkerboard, but the best was coming home last night to open the wonderful squishy envelopes-!

July blocks mailed
Went to the post office today and mailed off my blocks to Rho, Ronda and Shannon. It seemed so strange to send untrimmed blocks! Hope they arrive safe and sound.

Checkerboards mailed
I mailed to three people today, but who were they?
Hmm, I cut up my paper with the addresses on it to mail one of them.
I can't get onto my own e-mail account to re-find the names/addresses.
So, Sophie, I can only tell you they were the last three people on the mailing list, and two of them were in Canada. Sorry I am so out of touch right now!

Blocks in the Mail
I mailed out blocks to Andra, Linnea and Marie today. I hope you enjoy :-) When I got to the post office I noticed that I hadn't trimmed off the long threads. I am so sorry! lol I wouldn't have sent them like that but I am going to be camping for the next week and a half so this was the only time before mid-month that I would be able to send them.
