The hearts were won in February, the flowers are made from the violet flower block last summer. I love the way they work together.

I have more hearts! I am making a sister quilt like this one, only a little different.

Tipped Heart

This quilt for AAQI was inspired by the block lotto block for February. It is 7.5" x 9.0". I used one set of the cutoff part of the string-pieced heart to make the heart in this quilt:

Here are my 6 for the lotto. They are tucked away safe and sound.

I am making more, but I want to keep them. I've got plans.

I finally figured out how to use the hearts I won last winter. I mixed them with this month's flowers and I fell in love. There are 11 flowers here, but I am up to 18 in my pile.

Back home. Heart Blocks-received

I have just returned home after being "on the road" for 3 weeks.  All my "Heart Blocks" have arrived.  My post office box was overflowing!  I now have my 48 blocks and am so excited trying to figure out how I'm going to sew my quilt top together.  Thanks to all of who contributed blocks.  All blocks were well packaged and arrived to their destination safely.  I'm happy :)

When I mailed my string heart blocks to all the winners yesterday morning, I pretty much decided I am NOT going back to that particular post office to mail lotto blocks again soon.  It's a little crazy how individual post offices in the US decided to assess postage.

Thanks for my latest batch of hearts - it is so fun to go to the mailbox. The past two days I've received from Andra, Blondie, Ellie, Janet S. and June. I have a couple of layout ideas in my head, I'll have to start arranging them on the floor.

After carrying Ingrid's hearts in my bag for almost a week, I finally remembered to put them in the mailbox. As you can see, I'm still trying to use up my stamps. Congratulations Ingrid!
