The darker pink is fabric I tie-dyed myself, it's colorfast, I've tested it.  :)

These were a blast to make!
I played with the bonus triangles, making smaller and smaller blocks!

First D4P blocks received

I like my postie today ;-)
he delivered some wonderful goodies

D4P blocks from Karen, a fellow Aussie ;-)

Thank you Karen - these are going to look great with all the others.

Liberated quilting -- Gwen Marston

Tomorrow night Gwen Marston will be the guest speaker at the Dallas Quilt Guild, and on Sat I get to take workshop, which she calls "parts Department". I've made lots of four patches, broken dishes, simple and regular log cabins and some light dark half square triangles . Now I'm string - piecing "strata.". I've dug into my batik collection and have a batik jelly roll in blues and greens that are the basics, but I don't have a plan, and I guess that's the idea. -- the quilt design grows out of playing with the parts . More later.

First winning blocks arrive from Ohio!

Thank you Andie! The picture cannot do justice to the great reds you used. I am tickled "red and white"!
YAY!!!!!
