Liberated quilting -- Gwen Marston
Tomorrow night Gwen Marston will be the guest speaker at the Dallas Quilt Guild, and on Sat I get to take workshop, which she calls "parts Department". I've made lots of four patches, broken dishes, simple and regular log cabins and some light dark half square triangles . Now I'm string - piecing "strata.". I've dug into my batik collection and have a batik jelly roll in blues and greens that are the basics, but I don't have a plan, and I guess that's the idea. -- the quilt design grows out of playing with the parts . More later.

ReplyDeleteSounds great, look forward to seeing how you get on!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you make. Take lots of photos in class. I'll bet you'll learn from and be inspired by everything that everyone else makes, too.
