Rose Quilt Started

The final blocks arrived today. Thanks to Sophie and June for their wonderful blocks.

As I had a day off work and was already sewing I decided to put them together this afternoon. The colours certainly look vibrant - I love them. I am looking at edging them with the blue and green fabrics pictured. This will have to wait though as I am back at work tomorrw and I will have to buy more of the blue fabric or something similar.

  1. I love this, the roses and the mix/match colors are so surprising and at the same time so cohesive.

  6. WOW!! So fun!! Now that I've seen them all together, I think this is one block that I could create into a quilt for myself. I like how the dark green pops out the rose color as compared to the lighter greens. That's a real neat effect.

  7. Thanks for your commnts. I had printed out an image posted by Just Jenn at he beginning of August of a quilt from Sisters Quilt Show. I think it is gorgeous and have had it sitting by my computer as the blocks have been arriving. I decided that it would look great just sewing all the blocks together like this and was lucky enough to receive enough darker green blocks to enable me to put them all in the centre with the ligher ones around the edge.
