Benta's Bright Forest

As I was going to sleep last night I had an idea how to arrange the black and bright trees that I won  in December.  A while ago I had tried arranging the blocks as two quilts: one bright on black, and one black on bright, but they were both quite small, so I thought about one style in the centre and the other style outside

Astonishingly, I still remembered it when I woke up this morning, and the blocks went perfectly together in my first (OK, second) arrangement!  I would have finished sewing earlier had I not stitched one drop of trees upside down, but it's now a quilt top, on a fleece blanket, ready for binding when I'm next in the mood for binding.

Ta-da!!!

Thank you Sophie for organising this, and to all of my very kind contributors :-)

  4. Thanks for the lovely comments. The fleece backing is so quick and cosy. And cheap! I stitched the blocks into rows then placed the middle row in the right place and stitched and flipped either side, and worked my way out, so it's quilted ready to bind
