PB Blocks Mailed Again

Here we go -- one more try.  I'm mailing another set of PB blocks to Toni in OR.  This time I'm mailing from my local post office in the good old USA so I'm hoping they get there quickly.  I've come to think of this block as my own personal block.  My students at school call me Mrs. P-B and when they graduate I let them call me by first name -- however they just remove the Mrs. and call me PB.  Friends call me LPB and some of my students change that to "Little PB" after graduation since I'm short -- so every time I'm on the blog and see references to the May block I think everyone is talking about me!!!! Blessings to all.  LPB

Pineapple Blossoms Posted Again

LPB has posted a second set of Pineapple Blossoms  to Diana in the UK.  How does Sophie keep up with 5 trillion zillion blocks when I have trouble getting my few little sets in line?  Now I'm off to make liberated checkerboards.  Blessings to all!

blocks on the wing to England

I just posted 2 pineapple blocks to Diana in Jolly England! My son is a violinist who plays with Janelle Monae and he will be at the Glastonbury outdoor festival on June 25. I wish I could pop over and see him.
On another postal note, the UPS has some new Love forever stamps and the sheet looks like a beautiful appliqued floral quilt, with a few turteldove pairs in the mix. Nice design.

block in the mail

my block (plus some extras) went in the mail today!

Troublesome 3 Patch

For such a simple block this sure has caused me problems. I had my nine made almost immediately I received the sneak peak. After looking at them for awhile I decided some of my purples were too red so set about changing them. Then I realised that I had used the same combination of fabrics in some blocks. Now that they are all complete I have been having trouble photographing them. One of the purples which I really like is photographing as blue and some of the paler greens are photographing as cream - I give up. I have tried them on a light and a dark background.

On a brighter note I posted my pineapple blocks to Kathy, Diana andSandi last wednesday so you should have them by the middle of the week.

More PB mailed

Andra and Diana, I've mailed my pineapple blossoms to you both. In each package I included 2 extra blocks that were 9"x9" from my first attempt at sewing it. I don't know if you can use them, but I thought I'd include them. Sorry, I did not include my corners. Enjoy!

More Pineapple Blossoms in the Mail

My blocks went out today in fat envelopes–reminding me why we call them squishies–to Andra, Julie and Kathy.  My bonus triangle squares were split between Andra and Kathy, making their envelopes so squishy, the USPS declared them to be "packages" and not "letters."

I walked to the Post Office and even though it was early, it was still pretty hot–Austin has been "enjoying" record highs already . . . and it's not even officially summer yet.

Cyndi in Pennsylvania California emailed me this morning from her phone to let me know that she's mailed her blocks to Kim–she's camping and there's no WiFi :-(
