More trees!
Amazing what a couple days off due to snow (and today a child who isn't completely well) will do for your sewing time...
I had a lot of fun with these - the purple one is 9" high (9.5" unfinished) and is a little odd at the top, but I wanteed to try one with lots of branches. The blue one is a bit odd, too, perhaps looking more like a toadstool than a tree, but I think it will pass muster. The colours on these blocks are one of my favourite combinations, so I'm looking forward to seeing what others come up with!

I love the variety in your styles of trees ... and don't find any of them "odd." All your fabrics have great texture, too. Personally, I have never been much of a fan of black+jewel or black+bright or black+much of anything colorways, but after I made the bed this morning, I found myself imagining a jewel tone forest quilt on my bed ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've updated your numbers on the list.
I love your trees.
