Two more heart blocks

Here are two more of the heart blocks.  I'm having somewhat of a struggle with these for some reason, probably just me.  Maybe because the strings are slanted and you have to figure out how to sew the sides on so you end up with a heart shape.  I made 4  so far and am really working at it,  whine whine.

  2. They are beautiful. It's not a difficult block, but it's been a long time since I sewed strings. So I also struggled a bit with making sure the slants went the right way, etc. and had to take my first tries apart.

  3. This isn't a "liberated" block, but the technique isn't quite traditional, either. One could make the same block with templates ... but, I tend to avoid templates at any cost (like some people I know avoid the a-word ... appliqué).

I've updated your number of blocks on the list: 4 for you and (along with Rho's block) a total-so-far of 73 hearts.
