A quilting design idea for Kim

Since your table topper is made from big 12 inch blocks, in addition to stippling in the black background, I'd add some stitching in the violets--you could do something more intricate and precise, but even a few swooping lines in each petal shape like in this really poor drawing-with-a-mouse picture could work, I think.

I usually opt for something curvy and organic looking when the block is leaves or flowers, but a quilt design that accented the angles of the block could also be interesting--instead if curves, you could echo the point of each "petal."

  1. Great idea! I don't do too many (any) flower quilts. I was thinking about consecutive outline stitches and was worried they would render the block too geometric, but was too out of it to write that out.

    Your computer skills seem boundless.
