My finished Pineapple Blossom

Hi Ladies
With some encouragement from our lovely leader, Sophie, I am posting a picture of my completed Pineapple Blossom.
Several months ago when this was the block of the month, I went wild over the scrappiness of it.
I did the blocks on the machine and then did hand quilting doing it in my own QAYG style.

Below is a pic of 4 blocks quilted ready to add to another set of 4

Below is the finished quilt.

Thanks to Sophie for having this wonderful blog group and to all you talented ladies for being inspirational.

  4. I've been amazed at how colorful these blocks turned out. (I'm a bright color junky). I wasn't really thrilled at the gold and grey requirement on these blocks, but the scrappiness has really popped the other colors, so I guess the gold and grey served as a neutral base for contrast. (We should always trust Sophie....!)

  10. Your hand-quilting really makes this quilt extra-special. Thanks for sharing it with us. The red sashing is great and a good example of whatever color you add to a bunch of scrappy blocks really determines the color we see. I think anyone would look at your quilt and say "red quilt."
