If you haven't made tree blocks and are looking for a hint (or two), here's a photo of some of the first fabrics I pulled from my stash to make blocks for January.
Your bright fabrics may be solids, tone-on-tone prints, batiks, hand-dyes, novelty prints (kid or adult variety), florals, geometrics, plaids (woven or printed) ... if it's bright and it's quilting cotton, you can use it ;-)
You'll also need some white which may be solid or WOW (white-on-white print).
Everything will be cut from 2-1/2 inch strips, so if you have jelly rolls, noodles, or worms ... this could be the month to use them.
Ooh Sophie, I LOVE January's block. I was peeved that I couldnt make any more December blocks due to seasonal silliness, but I'll be there with 9 blocks for January. Thanks for the lovely clear instructions
