Here are the two I've gotten done so far. After looking at everyone else's blocks I'm afraid my first one may not be red enough. Y'all tell me what you think.
Personally, I think great scrap quilts usually have a few "outlier" blocks and that's part of what makes them so interesting. If you look at my blocks for this month, you'll see a couple that not everyone would choose for their quilt. One is a black and red batik, the other is a print with a lot of cream and a red that is on it's way to maroon. But, all together, I really think they work and I hope that whomever wins your block includes it in their quilt. (No winner is ever OBLIGATED to use all the blocks).

Thanks Sophie. I really like the block, but my taste usually runs toward the bold. Just want to make sure I'm following the rules.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that top block! I'd be happy to win it! It's bold and has a little spunk and sass. Every quilt needs a bit of attitude somewhere in it!
