I keep reading comments from almost everyone on the blog about how happy they are the clover blocks are so easy to sew up. Not for me. I made the first 4 with a lot of difficulty and then they ended up only 6 inches square so I started all over cutting my fabric a quarter inch larger. Finally made them come out decent when I paper-pieced them. “They” say it’s good to get out of our comfort zone from time to time but I’m beginning to wonder if I have a comfort zone. All the blocks have been a challenge for me except the stacks. I know, whine, whine. Here are my 4 acceptable blocks:
I know you worked extra-hard to make them and I won't say it was worth it, but they are GORGEOUS! I've added them to the list. Our new total-so-far is 90 clover blocks.
ReplyDeleteHi - you're not alone!! I find it very challenging too - the precision needed for the blocks is very alien to me but I'm very drawn to it and boy what a sense of achievement when I crack it!! Every cloud..... Love your clover blocks - I havn't started mine yet... wish me luck!!!
