I won these wonky Reeds last summer, and finally pulled them out of the UFO pile. I kept the darkest backgrounds at the bottom, and they fade to the white at the top. I hope to have a completed quilt soon!
I was lurking around block lotto for a while, but these reed blocks are what really brought me to be active on the site. I still love them. I look forward to seeing how this turns out. Janet S
I like your design idea of moving from dark to light. I have a collection of black and white brushed cottons (they feel almost like flannel) and keep thinking I should decide on a contrasting color for the reeds and make one of these for myself ... even if no one in Central Texas needs a quilt made from something that feels like flannel ;-)
