My finished Pineapple Blossom

Hi Ladies
With some encouragement from our lovely leader, Sophie, I am posting a picture of my completed Pineapple Blossom.
Several months ago when this was the block of the month, I went wild over the scrappiness of it.
I did the blocks on the machine and then did hand quilting doing it in my own QAYG style.

Below is a pic of 4 blocks quilted ready to add to another set of 4

Below is the finished quilt.

    I've been amazed at how colorful these blocks turned out. (I'm a bright color junky). I wasn't really thrilled at the gold and grey requirement on these blocks, but the scrappiness has really popped the other colors, so I guess the gold and grey served as a neutral base for contrast. (We should always trust Sophie....!)

    Your hand-quilting really makes this quilt extra-special. Thanks for sharing it with us. The red sashing is great and a good example of whatever color you add to a bunch of scrappy blocks really determines the color we see. I think anyone would look at your quilt and say "red quilt."
