I received email this morning from Lois in South East London. She's interested in joining us and asked whether or not her hand dyed cotton sateen would be acceptable fabric to use. She didn't have any WOW (white on white) in her stash . . . so she PRINTED some.
How cool is that?
She's posted a tutorial for hand printing fabrics on her blog, here: Fabric Printing for Block Lotto & Paper Printing for 365 Cards Tutorial.
oh oh oh, now I'm feeling really embarrassed!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope whichever poor victim wins my blocks likes them! (If not, I guess you'll have to say, as it's very likely everything I do will be selfcoloured, as that's what I've got most of... and you'll all be suffering in silence otherwise)

I truly did not mean to embarrass you, Lois ... I am excited about your self-coloured fabrics and I knew others around here would be, too ;-)
ReplyDeleteTHose blocks will be extra special knowing all the time and effort you put into them. I have no idea how to dye anything, so you are WAY AHEAD of me!
