There's a new photo of the Block Lotto banner quilt, now that it's bound and all the quilting markings washed away. But It's still got problems with perspective. One of these days I'll get it right.
I even had some "help" today ... though, when Grace Hopper came over to the quilt spread on the floor as I was on the ladder trying to get a nice square shot, I expected her to lay on it . . . not push it out of the way, as she did, and stretch out on the bare concrete floor and offer herself up as model ;-)
She does add some scale, I suppose. The finished banner is 12-1/4 x 50 inches.
Since I can't seem to manage the long shot, how about a closeup showing the plaid binding and the quilting, post wash and nicely crinkled?
There's an even closer at the quilting here on my blog, Sophie Junction.
Lovely cat and lovely banner. I'm in awe at the speed the members of this blog finish things!
ReplyDeleteLois, the block lotto banner was weeks in the making ... and it's only 12.5" tall ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat Photo and exquisite crinkles, post wash!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could all see and TOUCH it in real life, up close and personal. It has the nicest hand and drape that I think I could ALMOST wear it as a scarf ... which would probably be the geekiest thing ever ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to join block lotto. Can't find your email address on the blog, so hopefully this will suffice. I have my blocks done for January - hopefully I'm not too late to join.
Krista, your account is "no reply" so I cannot reply to you via email. Please email me at jeansophie (at) gmail (dot) com. You'll need to send me your name and postal mailing address. Then I'll generate an invitation for you to become an author on our group blog and you can post a photo of your blocks. (No you're not too late–the deadline is Sunday). I can't wait to see them! (and you WILL be pushing us to the FIVE WINNER mark this month. Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteSophie, I think it looks great. Wonderful quilting and I love the crinkled look.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the banner Sophie! You did a great job on it and a beautiful job of quilting. It looks great on the blog!
