I did! I took it to the post office and had the guy tell me how much postage I needed before I put on the stamps. The package looks like it made it all the way there and then that post office sent it back.
Ugh! I know that can happen, too. It's our postal system–I guess they can check it anywhere along the line and return it.
I always worry when I get a postal clerk that doesn't put my "letter" on the scale to double check or just eyeballs it ... and I know that even if it is weighed at one place, someone else may decide that it's too thick (and should be charged parcel post rates) or it may weigh differently down the line.
This would be why I always ask everyone to check the postage.
