When I saw the fireworks block last month, I thought of making the blocks in green and yellow to resemble the dandelions in my yard! I just finished piecing my quilt tonight.
Ps. How funny is it that I just commented elsewhere that I'd mix green string blocks with this month's roses ... and you'd already made an excellent example of how well that would work?
I really love this quilt! What a fun way to make daisies! The strings in between are too cute! I may even try that with the baskets I have rather than the idea I was "cookin". Thanks for sharing!
I love the colors...they really do look like dandelions! Cool.
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet quilt!

ReplyDeleteHow neat!!! Great to take liberation one step further for an adorable summer quilt.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and cheery!
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic! Who knew that asterisks/spiders/fireworks could also read as dandelions in bloom ... obviously, you!

ReplyDeleteThat is the coolest field of dandelions I have seen this summer!! What a GREAT idea for that block.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. I think i might cheat and use white buttons from my nanny's old button jar at each intersection and button-tuft it instead of quilting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a quilt - I really like this one!
