A full set of Blossoms

Here are my nine blocks for May. I really like the looks of this block. I'm including a picture of a quilt I had made 5 yrs ago when my youngest turned 15 and we had a bedroom redo for her...I did hers with brights on black using 2.5" strips instead of the 2"strips we used for our lotto blocks. The color isn't great, but you get the idea. I'm not too fond of black quilts for myself, so am ever so happy to have the white background for these. I so want to win this month!

  1. Thanks for posting the quilt picture. I see the secondary pattern in that picture and it makes me like this block even more. Gotta get some made so I can win a bunch of them - LOL

  2. Shelley, your blocks have been added to the list. We now have a total-so-far of 99 blocks which is enough for three winners.

Thanks for sharing the photo of your daughter's quilt. It's great quilt and a good example of how the color you add in the border can influence the perception of the color of the quilt.

  3. Your daughter's quilt is gorgeous and just the kind of thing I like. At one point, I did only black backgrounds, I like them so much. I don't make quilts for me very often now, so using other colors, but your quilt is a perfect example of how black makes other colors bigger and better!
