Thanks to everyone who made suggestions regarding my shoo fly quilt. A couple of people thought it would be helpful to see pix of the different possible layouts. Here's what I was able to come up with. Sorry about the picture angle--I don't have much room to manuever. Your thoughts are VERY much appreciated.
I like the last one the very best, but they are all really nice. Your combination of colors is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteI like the third layout the best .... but then I love blocks set on point!

Kim, My preference is 4 and then 2. It reflects my love of Trip Around the World and Straight Furrows Log Cabins. You sure did take a liking to this month's block! Very nice. Kathie L in Allentown
ReplyDeleteI like #2!!
ReplyDelete2 & 4 look good to me. Good luck choosing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to be much help ... when I try to choose a favorite, I can't decide between #1, #3 and #4 which one I like best.
ReplyDeleteI think I would also try the on-point arrangement with the colors arranged in rows (or columns) and see how that looks.
I like the last stepped version - the original way you had them pictured. Wow - can see that it took a lot of effort to move these blocks around to see the different effects. Very helpful to see.
ReplyDeleteI like #1 best, like a wonky Amish.
