Two roses

Here are two more roses for August.  I still think the pink one (which was my first attempt) is a little too triangley, so I may cut the bottom tip off some before the end of the month.  For now, though, I think I want to just try some more from scratch.  These are fun, but a little tricky.  I think I'm doing better with each one I make. 1. I've updated your blocks on the list. I realize I am reading/commenting out of order this morning, so the running totals will seem odd to anyone who is reading chronologically ... oops. Anyway, we're 2 roses away from four dozen (with yours and those that follow).

  2. ... some more food for thought ... when you look at growing roses or a bouquet of roses, they are NOT all facing the same direction and the shape you see is not always round. A REAL partially opened rose, viewed in profile, would look a little triangle-y, too.

  4. Now I just need to figure out my new camera so the picture isn't so dark....If it's not one thing, it's another. I'm off to make some more.
